Funding Ideas

Many schools and attractions are faced with tough budgetary constraints yet the persistent challenge of engaging with students and visitors alike. One solution is to build your own trench system and provide a year-round attraction and asset which could also be shared with other partners and stakeholders to not only increase numbers but also to potentially share any costs.

In addition to your own budgets for projects, relationships with local organisations and partners often provides a level of support or sponsorship in addition to more common sources for grants or funding such as the Arts Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund, local authority small grants (town and county level) and the Community Covenant Grant Scheme (established to support the community covenant and to fund local projects that bring together the civilian and armed forces communities). The Western Front Association and other regional bodies also have grants available for appropriate projects.
